Uris Safari Lodge - Namibia Safari Accommodation

Uris Safari Lodge is located 20 kilometres west of the town of Tsumeb in Namibia's diverse and fascinating Oshikoto region. The Lodge nestles in a 17,000 hectare private game reserve with an abundance of Eland, Kudu and other game. As you take a drive around the lodge area, modern day bushmen will greet you from their homes, inquisitive of intruders in their quiet lives. On your way you will pass the old pump used to source water for the mine and a modern power station and offices and store. Shortly afterwards you will approach the soon to be operational area where one witnesses the recently explored quarry - to determine the range of “free-digging” a mining term to establish how far one can dig before blasting. Copper minerals are in existence in the rocks but only after fine-tuning will this mineral zone become an active mine.

The thatched dining, lounge and bar areas open onto spacious wooden decks, affording views over our countries' world-renowned sunsets. Uris Safari Lodge boasts delicious Pan African meals including full breakfast, lunch and dinner by candlelight. Dinners are either served in the lounge area or for guests favouring the “bush experience” the BOMA is a favourite. A fantastic designed swimming pool is available for guests to relax in, not to mention a small eighty-seat chapel for weddings or just quiet contemplation. Special occasions can be booked at the Boma.
